Norma Miller's Trickeration
The Central Avenue Dance Ensemble perform Norma Miller's "Trickeration" choreography for the "Queen of Swing" herself at the 30th Annual International Association of Blacks in Dance awards luncheon. What is significant about this is the fact that we have the largest Black dance organization in the U.S. paying tribute to the last surviving member of the dance troupe that, some 80 years ago, introduced the most popular African-American dance in history, the Lindy Hop, to the world. It was an honor to be there. Dancers: Chester Whitmore, Sharon Sandor, Rosa Harris, Ron Parker and Gary Roberts.
