Come meet one of the last surviving Lindy Hop pioneers of the Jazz Age, a living legend who helped to change the course of dance and music in America (and the world) forever.

Submitted by somebody on 21 December 2006 - 4:50pm.Norma Miller, the Queen of Swing, is in town for a few days, stopping by from her film tour, and Chester is going to bring her down to Lindy Groove this evening, Thursday, December 21, 2006.
Norma is one of the last remaing original members of Whitey's Lindy Hoppers ("A Day at the Races", "Hellzapoppin", etc...). She is truly one of the pioneers of Lindy Hop.
Sorry for the last minute notice. If you wish to stop by and say hello to Norma, we'll be there tonight.

- Chester Whitmore and the Central Avenue Dance Ensemble are performing in the L.A. Trade Tech Dance Ensemble 2006 Renunion this Saturday (September 30, 2006) night. Come out for an exciting evening of dance performances!

Submitted by somebody on 31 August 2006 - 3:47pm.On Saturday evening, September 9, “A Tribute to Norma Miller” will take place at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis. The evening will feature an entire showing of the newly released 75 minute movie about Norma’s life and unique contribution to African American history. 
Performances by Norma Miller, Chester Whitmore, The Nicholas Sisters and the Los Angeles Central Ave Dance Ensemble accompanied by Mr. Whitmore’s 18-piece swing/jazz band, Opus One Big Band will follow the movie.
